Amazing place and cuisine, every dish is an experience by itself. Highly recommend sharing different dishes to try everything. Ask your waiter for similar dishes to try, they have great recommendations.

The food is good but we weren’t amazed by any of the dishes. The chef herself wasn’t there but we still expected a bit more. Prices are definitely on the high end, which would have been ok if the food would have met our expectations. The prices for the drinks were also too high as they were quite average, and there’s a few things for which they charged unnecessarily too much, like bottled water ($240). The place itself is very cool, good attention to detail. The staff was friendly- but all in all we were a bit disappointed and came out with the feeling that it wasn’t worth the price.

Rubra was absolutely amazing! If I could give more than 5 stars I would. The tasting menu was next level, Daniela is such a talented chef. The attention to detail, the flavor combinations, the creativity, it was all excellent. The best way to celebrate a special occasion. They deserve a Michelin Star!

Rubra is one of those places that has it all: amazing food, a perfect vibe, and a team that makes you feel right at home. Every dish surprises with spectacular flavors and impeccable presentation, while the space itself is a masterpiece, modern, spacious, and thoughtfully designed with a blend of natural materials, warm lighting, and elegant details that create an inviting yet sophisticated atmosphere. Whether you're stopping by for dinner or just a morning coffee, the setting makes every moment special. The service is top-notch, always attentive and with the best attitude. Definitely a place you’ll want to come back to again and again.

Well where does one start? This place was amazing from first entering to finishing the meal/paying the bill. The food was different ingredients & flavour combinations that paired so well together. Honestly things I would never think that would blow the taste buds like they did. I would say there were highlights but I truly enjoyed every dish as they all were so unique. This is definitely something to experience. It is not cheap but based on the quality of the food it is easy to tell why. The service was impeccable with servers explaining every dish. Restaurant was busy but dishes came out and I never thought there was too long of a delay between dishes. I had amazing service as a solo diner sitting at bar. It is easy to tell why the chef is so highly regarded and why this restaurant won best new restaurant in Mexico. Well done to the whole team. If you want a meal to remember this is your place. I can’t wait to be back every year.

Rubra was a beautiful surprise during our trip to Punta Mita. We first heard about this restaurant from another chef in London who owns the Mexican restaurant Kol, and we’re so glad we followed the recommendation. The atmosphere at Rubra is incredible. As an interior designer, I truly appreciated the attention to detail, the space is as thoughtfully designed as the food itself. While the flavors were absolutely spectacular, the presentation of each dish elevated the experience even further. Every plate was not only delicious but also a visual work of art. This is more than just a meal, it’s a full sensory experience. Highly recommended!

We were dazzled by Chef's interpretation of "tropical Mexican" cuisine through a ten course tasting menu. Chef clearly cherished and embraced her roots and origins through an ambitious and flavorful journey. Favorites for us were the oysters, shrimp, scallops, brown butter clams, smoked tuna belly and wheat sourdough. The chocolate millefeuille dessert and sweet tastes finished the meal nicely. Service was friendly and considerate. The serenity of the dining experience as a whole was very relaxing, which was in tune with the vibe at the W. Well done, Chef and Rubra team!! ????????

Rubra is easily one of the best restaurants I’ve ever been to. The food is next-level, but what really blew me away was the attention to detail, every plate, every light, every design choice felt so intentional. It’s the kind of place that makes you slow down and savor everything.
